WHY FREE-RANGE EGGS?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Simply put - free-range eggs are just plain healthier!  Our hens are allowed to range freely outside during the daytime hours (we lock them in at night to protect against predators).  We use portable electric mesh fencing and  frequently rotate pastures for our flocks.  Our hens eat a healthy diet of greens, bugs, grubs, worms, grains, seeds and garden scraps - creating the most nutritious eggs available!  We use no antibiotics, harmful steroids or growth hormones.  If you are used to eating "store bought eggs", you will definitely notice a real difference - the yolks are a rich, deep yellow-gold and they stand up in the pan!  If you would like to read up on the real truth about free-range eggs and their nutritional edge, click here to read an article published by Mother Earth News.

Egg shares are available to our CSA customers only and are picked-up (or delivered) weekly along with produce shares.  Full egg share customers will receive one dozen eggs per week and half share customers will receive one dozen eggs every-other week throughout the standard CSA season.
